Cooler temperatures and falling leaves are a tell-tell sign Chef Elle is back for her Holiday Entertaining Series and she's kicking it off with a newsworthy cocktail, a drink perfect for apple picking and hayrides.
...to good food
6 oz. fresh carrot juice
9 oz. fresh pineapple juice
2 jiggers vodka
2 T brown sugar syrup
Place ingredients in a shaker or Mason jar and give it a good shake. Pour equal amounts in each glass and enjoy. (serves 4)
Since this cocktail is a real crowd-pleaser, go ahead and triple the ingredients.
Prior to the guests arriving, place vodka in the freezer. It's virtually impossible to freeze. Also, to make brown sugar syrup, add equal parts sugar and water. Allow to cook until sugar has completely dissolved. Once cool, place in an airtight container and refrigerate up to a week.
