Super Easy; Serves 6
2 egg yolks
1/3 granulated sugar
1/3 c and 2 T heavy cream
1/2 vanilla bean pod
pinch of sea salt
splash of bourbon
Set a small pot over low heat and add heavy cream.
Add eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and sea salt in a mixing bowl, whisking to combine.
Once cream shows signs of small bubbles, slowly pour into egg mixture all while whisking.
Transfer mixture to pot and cook over low heat.
Split vanilla bean in half, scraping bean and pod and adding to custard, along with bourbon. Stir often until custard thickens and coats a spoon.*Shown with Rice Pudding Balls.
